While men slept

Everyone seemed to start the year with clear vision but I’m afraid not all would sustain that vision talk less of see it come to pass. This is not a scare about life and death but more about being dead while living.

As a matter of fact, vision keeps your hopes alive and, much more, your whole person. Little wonder, Proverbs says where there is no vision, the people perish (dead while alive) #Proverbs29v18. So, it’s good you already have a vision, clear or not and it’s not time to rest on your oasis!

There are vision detractors that won’t let the vision come to fruition, hence you must stay awake. They don’t prevail without permission; they come at man’s insensitive hours. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. #Matthew13v25. To sleep is to allow mediocrity and complacency prevail. It is to settle for less and do what you’ve always been doing, hence, remain on same spot till 2018 again is over.

In short, when you’re complacent, you wouldn’t worry about seeing what eyes have not seen and ears have not heard; talk less of seeing the things God has prepared for them that love him. Therefore, sleep not and find what you should rather do.

Instead of sleeping, Jesus says that men ought always to pray, and not to
faint #Luke18v1 because it’s in the place of prayer that you get and renew your vision. Little wonder, God told Jeremiah: call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not #Jeremiah33v3.

Therefore, if you want God to show you great and mighty things which eyes have not seen and ears have not heard, learn to pray and not faint because when men sleep the enemy comes and sows tares to destroy the vision.
